Has anyone heard anything about these?:

gdiapers

I saw them on some random program today (might have been Rachel Ray).

They look interesting and I'm debating about getting my friend to pick some up when she's in the states.

They look quite cool - funky colours and look very trim.

They look really cool, I especially like that you can compost the inners if you don't want to flush them.

I think they look like a great 'greener' option for someone who likes disposables and perhaps doesn't want to go complete cloth.

They point out on their site too that they're better than cloth for those that are water conscious (I guess that's assuming you compost rather than flush).  I'm looking into different nappy options for any future babies we have (DH didn't like using flats and covers... I wasn't too keen on all that folding either).  I'll definitely keep an eye out for these.

Good sleuthing Tweedle - let me know if you hear anything about being a supplier.

ETA: I especially like how the tabs go to the back.

I prefer the look of the gdiapers - they have funkier colours! I should hopefully hear from them in the next few days so will let you know

I've seen these before and whilst they're definitely better than disposables I'm not sure they look as comfy for baby to wear as other cloth nappies on the market (thinkinging specifically the waistband and the elastic that holds the insert in?).

Yeah, see that's what gets me. It does assume you would compost where everywhere else their selling point is 'you can just flush' - and where exactly does it go when you flush it? It doesn't disappear into thin air! Gah.

I love the look of these. Not quite sure how it works though. Is the inside bit like disposables ie you flush or compost? Do you then wash and reuse the outers like you would with cloth nappies?
Tweedle I am really keen to hear once you know more about them - price etc? Would they work out cheaper than buying disposables all the time?

Thay are very cool, I love their colours and patterns.

I use disposables because I done have a washing machine and am always concious of how bad they are for the enviroment.
