Hi guys,

I have had some really unusal spotting (brown very light) yesterday and then last night it was more a reddy colour but quite runny (sorry if TMI). And it was only when I wipped.

I am only about day 10 or 11 of this cycle.

What on earth could it be? It seems to have all gone now.

Do I need to be worried, go to doctor etc? I have NEVER had this before.

Hiya D,

Have you tested? Any chance it might be implatation?

Are you feeling OK otherwise?

I haven't had it before either. Are you on the pill? It could be break through bleeding. I don't know if that's anything to be worried about though as it's quite common. It could be implantation, but that would mean you ovulated early. Hugs! Maybe someone else has better ideas

Test just incase you did get pregnant last night and also got AF this month.

I get it all the time, but that is cos my body is stuffed.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Could be worth a call to the doc? It may be nothing but might be sign of infection... but don't quote me on that! My cycles have changed a lot over the years so nothing would surprise me anymore lol! But if it's unusual for you then I reckon getting it checked out will at least stop you feeling worried

Do a test, to eliminate the whole preg thing.
Then, if it is worrying you, call your Dr's surgery and speak to the parctice nurse - they'll know what questions to ask to see if there might be anything to worry about.
You haven't changed or missed a BCP?

Im not on any BC - havent been for about a year now, just been using condoms or not around "that" time.

Eeek Kate - but was it just after AF? Like seriously she was only here a week ago?

Yeah was thinking about an infection, or Im really worried about PCOS or something like that because I get terrible periods once every 3 months type thing.

Hehehe, like I said in my PM, it was about day 18...or about 10 days after my AF finished.

And sorry last question - how long did your spotting last for?

So hope its not an infection or something like that

BooBoo - it could also be from ovulation. I read somewhere that you can bleed from the release of the follicle and that it is a very fertile sign. Are you currently trying?

ive had that too and went to the doc as i was really worried there was something wrong with me.
She seemed to think my hormone levels were a bit out of whack and that it would adjust itself naturally or i would get preggie? she also said it was probably still my body adjusting back to normal after breastfeeding which i was very surprised about!

Day 10 or 11 isn't too early to conceive but it is too early to reliably test in most cases. It could have been just about anything, hopefully in your case it will result in a BFP in two weeks' time! If you are having any pains or anything you could look into endometriosis but that usually comes with irregular periods and pain every AF and stuff. With PCOS my understanding is that you are likely to have AF almost rarely and very irregularly.

But for the sake of answering your question, I don't think you need to worry as this seems to be a very normal thing for a variety of reasons.

Probably nothing to worry about. I've midway through my cycle and had a little spotting yesterday, which has never happened before, mine was probably due to ovulation and what someone said up there ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^. Definitely couldn't be anything else for me as I avoid "loving" around this time
