Hi, im hoping someone can help me because the pharmacist can't!
I've been using bio oil since i found out i was pg but when i ran out decided to try the palmers coco butter stuff...and have come out in a scaly, bumpy,ITCHY rash all over my chest and stomach.
After spending ages at the pharmacy the pharmacist sold me some cream to stop the itching but after i'd paid for it said that it will get absorbed & studies have shown that babies absorb it but the complications weren't bad (!!) So now im too scared to use it. Does anyone know anything that is safe to use to stop itching (& hopefully get rid of my ugly rash??)
TIA, sorry for the long post

First of all that pharmicist should give you your money back as they never should have sold it to you in the first place, or at the very least given you the info so you could decide for yourself if it was something you wanted to use.

Is the rash warm? I had a bad reaction to a certain type of material once and I bought a nice soothing aloe vera lotion. I sat in a paddling pool with cold water (might be hard to do in this weather) and then later rubbed the cream in.
I wouldn't use anything perfumed as that will probably irritate it more.

What kind of moisturiser do you usually use?

I had the same reaction to cocoa butter and really came down to a cool bath and some calamine lotion to try and sooth it.  Nothing really worked, but once I stopped the cocoa butter it cleared up in a few days...

Sorry not alot of help

Oh yeah, I also tried Aquaeous Cream, didn't really do alot but sooth while I was putting it on...
