Topic: storing birth certs etc Posted: 28 July 2008 at 8:42am |
Where do people normally have these stashed away?
At the moment they are all sitting in the bottom of one of my top drawers, which is fine - they are together, I know where they are if I need to grab them quickly.
But I am wanting to do a big clean out and start actually using it for clothes, so am looking for ideas on where else is a good place to put them safely.
Where do you keep yours?

We have a couple of those large folders with the seperate filing bits and all our paper work is in those. Birth, marriage certificates and passports are all together.

I have all our documents in a small box that is on top of the shelf in the lounge. It has the birth certs, passports, marriage cert, plunket books, my immigration cert and it also has mine and DH's plunket (well mine isn't plunket) records as well.

I have no idea where mine is, Maya's is in a folder in my bedside cabinet, and I hope Mercedes is there too, Sienna's is in one of my knicker drawers (I have no idea why, but I do chuck random important stuff in that drawer), Mona's is on the corkboard in my bedroom and Chiara's is en route from BDM still. The passports are all in the same drawer as Sienna's birth cert. Their Well Child books are all over the place too.

I have only just got my birth cert as my mum had it. She swore black and blue that I had it and what do you know when they were moving she found it. She told me it is really expensive to get it replaced but I don't think I would have any problems as she is now over there. I have copies of them all some where else (at the moment I think they are in the shed).
