Topic: shhhh, i tested early and...... Posted: 05 May 2006 at 3:22pm |
its positive!
i actually tested on wednesday, which was way early ( still dont know why i did? hmm hormones?) and got a positive really quick and strong. so i went away and thought about it some more, went to pick xanthe up from pre school, and came home to re test. another positive. and to be sure, i finished the box off this morning with another positive test. I cant get into the doctor till wed next week, which is good, as by my calculations i am only about 3 1/2 weeks - how can that be?
does anyone have any idea on why i have tested positive so early? my last period started on 13/04/06, but my cycles since coming off the pill have been short.
I have been bursting to tell someone! to talk about it! i told xanthe, and got her to tell scott for me... she said "mummys got a baby in her tummy daddy", it was so sweet.
so fingers crossed it is "sticky" i will know more next week i guess. i think i may pester the doc for an early scan, just to see with dates.

It might be that your last period was implantation stuff??? I don't know it works properly, but when I was pregnant at the start of the year I had a very short period (~3 days) and I assume I was already pregnant by then and it wasn't a period at all!
Congratulations btw!!! Hope the baby is stuck!

nooo, then you would have the ladle taken off you to be taken into evidence.... then you would not have anything to hand down to the grandkids
(how does the ladle spill over so much? its everywhere)

Oh, dear Lildo. You're none too bright are you? It spills over because ....
YOU CANNOT CONTAIN THE GREATNESS OF THE LADLE!!!!
(You know, I don't drink at all ...imagine what'd happen if I did? I'm completely cuckoo sober!)

You're right though ...it would be taken into evidence.
I've got 2 forks now (turns out the fish slice came in a set with a fork, and I got a fork yesterday too) ...so I'll just jab you with one of those instead! It doesn't worry me if I lose one, since I've a spare.

But at least if the ladle was taken into evidence it would hopefully be kept safe...unless you didn't claim it back and it went up for auction...of course if that happened then one of us could get said ladle. Hmmmm.
Big congratulations Lyla!! Do keep us posted!!!
