Topic: The ultimate baby brain... Posted: 01 July 2008 at 12:47pm |
I decided this morning that I couldn't be bothered dragging myself and the gremlins around Countdown to do the grocery shopping. So I did an online shop, and stocked up on heaps of stuff while I was at it so I hopefully won't have to go again till after baby arrives.
It did seem a bit pricey, but it wasn't till after I submitted my order I realised that I have ordered $93 worth of baby wipes
I meant to order two of the Huggies bulk 240-packs. Instead I ordered four. And on top of that, for some strange reason I also ordered two of the Huggies 144 packs of Sensitive wipes.
We will use them up eventually, but seriously, what was I thinking? Or not thinking as the case seems to be!

Hehe, that is quite funny.
I had a bad case of baby brain the other week, where I put the pasta sauce in the boiling water, not the pasta. DH gave me some strange looks

Awww Emma! Lol!
At least, like you say, it was something useful. Not like $93 worth of tinned peas or something!

I just stopped myself from putting moisturiser on my toothbrush last night....all because DH had moved his shaving gel to a new spot and I was trying not to put THAT on my toothbrush

LMAO Emma. I do that all the time, except I don't have a great excuse like baby brain. A few months ago I ordered 4 x 8pk of toilet paper by accident (I wonder what the shopper was thinking as he/she added those to the trolley).

lol emma. sounds like what i did yesterday. I went out to get a few groceries, & took some vouchers. I had a voucher for huggies newborn nappies with $5 off that expired yesterday & had particularly gone out to buy some wipes. Got the box & forgot to use the voucher! also got a pack of ecostore laundry powder (that i don't need as i have a spare bo xin the cupboard anyways) & forgot ot use the voucher for that too! Also, of course i forgot to buy the wipes. main reason i went! lol. So off we went to countdown in the avo to get ANOTHER box of nappies to use the voucher up & the much needed wipes! lol. I got the 2nd box of nappies as i figured i will use them as i remember using a couple of newborn boxes for Vincent so at least it's not a waste & i won't have to buy them later down the track.
GO THE BABY BRAIN!

Glad I'm not the only one!
LMAO the lady from Foodtown Online just rang and said they are going to have to use the 160 packs and 80 packs to make up the quantity coz they don't have enough of the 240's in stock. I am a total dork!
Mel - you're welcome to buy some if you want, otherwise we will eventually get thru them. Eventually.

Emma, you should have said there was a mistake, could you change the amount. I'm sure they could have done that for you.

I told her that, but they're on the shop floor, they just fill the trolleys, they can't change the order details. It's not the end of the world, I just feel like a bit of a dork, and Willie is threatening to take away my computer and/or my debit card so I can't make any more oopsies!

lol, ooops. As you will say, they will get used. no matter if you bought them now or later, you will eventually buy them. And hey, it saves another delivery charge by getting htem all at once. also saves willie a midnight trip to the local countdown for more nappies/wipes.

o dear Emma
That is very much something i would do. That realy sucks but i guess they will get used up in no time with 3 little ones using them. At least when bubs comes you wont have to worry about wipes for awhile.

LOL Emma! I shouldn't laugh too loud - I just stacked the dishwasher with clean dishes that I pulled off the shelf, while ignoring the dirty dishes on the bench.

LOL
Although I shouldn't laugh too much - I've stockpiled both Huggies wipes and nappies as the prices looked so good at nappies direct
