When you gals are testing early are you using early pregnancy tests or just normal ones???

Is it possible to get a bfp on a regulart hpt *before* af is due or do you need to get the "discover one"? if thats the case I will just wait lol :)

Thanks in advance

I reckon it is best to wait until after AF is due but that's just my opinion

There is good information on this website....

http://www.kiwifamilies.co.nz/Topics/Pregnancy/Home+Pregnancy+Tests.html

...where they say that Discover can show up the lowest level of hCG.

Good luck

I not sure as I have never got a BFP but I think that you should use them as instructed. The quick card ones can be used from 7-10po. I have also read on this forum in some cases the BFP turned up earlier or later than expected so there is no real hard and fast rule. But to save you $$$, holding out would be better.

Hehe, I'm sure others on this board will say that you can test from 10DPO, it's really up to you!

lol yes and no.. I was a POASaholic so just liked to cause I had heaps of tests:) only stopped when i got to about 5 weeks and then 8 and tests were lighter.!!!(common)

anyway 1st preg 10 DPO 2nd 8DPO..had very high levels though (968 at 15DPO)

but yes you are setting yourself up for disappointment in the case of the 2nd one i was going away for the weekend but would have tested anyway.. and thankyou:)

i know, and its like $12 for 3!!!!!!

foxxy one, your levels must have been super high for a 8DPO +ive

Ive switched to multipack from saveontests.com (25 for about $20 once converted - I have a POAS addiction)

I havent had a BFP yet but I always thought it was ok with "most" HPT's to test from about 10dpo. I guess to be safe I'd go by the guide included in the packets. Good luck

It all comes down to your HCG levels!!!!

The sensible thing is to wait until AF is late, but when you have been doing this for a while its just so hard.
