"I was helping my Mummy hang out the washing, and I had a peg. Mummy said 'Ta', so I gave her the peg and she used it. But no matter how many times I said 'Ta' to her, she wouldn't give the peg back! So I didn't want to play that game anymore, and I wouldn't give her any more pegs!" ~ Josiah

"Mummy, how do big sheep make little sheep?" ~ Kiya
My mind went blank! In the end, Nat and I said that all animals make babies the same way, just like people. That the girls have eggs inside of them that will grow into a baby... at least she didn't ask if animals have "special cuddles" like Mummy and Daddy did to make Baby!

hehe! I know what you mean about Ta Becca. Jake started saying thank you, but would only say it when he GAVE someone something. Never when he received. Now he's just given up on that altogether.

Lol... here's what we've told Kiya (this is the full version, that's developed over the last couple of years):
All mummys have seeds inside, called "eggs". God and Jesus plant the seed in the womb when They know its time for the mummy and daddy to have a baby. Mummy and Daddy have "special cuddles" in bed, and Daddy waters the seed, and it grows into a baby. All the physical stuff (like what the baby looks like in the womb, where in the body all that happens etc) about the development of the baby, and the birth, she knows from pictures in one of my baby books. We look at the pictures together, then get a ruler and measure on her hand how big the baby is now. We've talked about how both her and Josiah were born, and also about how her cousins (c-section) were born.

ha i remember my cousin when she was 3 (shes now 10) telling me all about penises and vulvas (i was like isnt that a car?no that would be a volvO) and how the egg gets fertilised etc and how the mummy and daddy go ah ah ah and the mummy gets a baby in her tummy.
AHHH of course so simple!
hmm caitlyn says some interesting things and has quite the imagination
"you'll look so pretty when u get married mum, i'll be so proud of u!"
(me) " dont u think im pretty now caitlyn?"
"no mum, not yet, but one day u will be"
her friend bumped her eye (accidently) at kindy the other day -this is caitlyns version of events
" my friend cut my eye with a knife....she had a knife cos the teachers gave her one and said go cut caitlyns eyes."
gee dont know if i should believe her or not?
but the one i remember the best was when she was 2 i told her off for something and she looks at me and says "but i just love u too much mum"
REALLY? with ur cutup eye (its not cut, not even bruised) u love UGLY OLD ME? lol

hahaha feijoa!!!!!! lol never heard it called THAT before!!!
yes caitlyn is quite the story teller *sigh*
This morning she told me that cassie (our cat) had been to a party with red and pink and blue and pink and yellow and pink ...oh and did i mention pink? balloons and a cake...and came home and made a mess of the lounge.
SOOOO naturally i went to have a look at the lounge and sure enough shed decided it would be really "fun" to do some "baking" in the lounge (why not the kitchen i ask u?) and had spilt milk and flour everywhere.
And the little miss says wistfully " i did tell cassie to be more careful mum...but he just didnt listen"
?!!!?

And to my BOSS -" do u work with my mummy? do u like going to stupid old work? my mum doesnt like stupid work"
