Topic: Im starting to bleed :( Posted: 30 May 2008 at 3:19pm |
I went to the toilet and there was browny mucousy stuff when I wiped. Not heaps, just a little, but it was there again 10 minutes later...still just a little only when wiping.
I had more hcg done this morning (yes hcgaholic)....it went up, but again, not much.
I will post the levels below, but a question first.
If I was starting to m/c today...wouldn't my hcg have started going down?
Hcg level today is the last on the list:
4w1d 52
4w4d 151
4w5d 356
5w 798
5w2d 1718
5w4d 3129
5w6d 3656
6w1d 3997

I'm feeling really gutted. I knew I shouldn't have told the kids so early, but I was really excited about it.
I haven't miscarried at this stage before.
My partner can't leave work either :(

Nefertiti - I'm with cuppatea. It might be nothing since its brown but would check with dr/midwife to put your mind at ease. Sending you

i had bright red bleeding and Josh was fine. Brown is suppose to be ok because it means its old blood well at least thats what my midwife told me.

Im the same as Kye.
I had brown spotting that turned into a m/c, but then also had brown spotting this pregnancy and all turned out fine.
Try to relax and not stress yourself out at this point, have you called your midwife?

Hey I had brown mucus and I was 6weeks1 day I went to the doctor as my morning sickness had suddenly stopped he sent me for a scan and I saw a heart beat and bubs is fine. The discharge stayed for a while but if its brown its generally ok cos its old blood could be baby burrowing deep.

This is how other mc started out too.
becky - I am also 6w1d.
Yip I called my midwife. She said given that the levels aren't rising very much, that it doesn't look too good.
So just sitting and waiting really :(
But I really hope I have a good outcome like some of you ladies.
It would be good to know of someone who also had low level rises...but like midwife says, she doesn't usually do serial testing.

I really hope everything is ok. Big hugs. It is stressful waiting and not knowing what is going on. Thinking of you.

I dont know if you read thru the Dec Due posts but I had the same thing for weeks and so far so good and my last scan was at 8 weeks and 5 days and bub was healthy. I started at around 5 weeks I think.
DONT WORRY!!
Unless you get Fresh blood and Cramps!
I am sure you will be fine!

Thankyou Emme! This site is just about all the support I have really. Apart from a good friend I confide in. But of course I can ask anything here lol. My partner is good, but he is at a loss as to what he can do. Which isn't much really anyway.
Roksana - I haven't checked out the Dec thread. Did you have low levels also? If you did, do you remember what they were?

Nefertiti - sending you lots of positive vibes, it seems that you have a lot of reassuring information here which I'm sure is correct. Take it easy and let us know if there is any change.

At the moments things are settling down. I think my poor fanny is getting rubbed sore (tmi) as I'm going to the loo every 15mins or so! I can't help it. I don't even think its giving it enough time to accumulate anything as it seems to be getting less. Sorry, but I can't really talk like to the my daughter (15) who is the only one home until partner home in awhile!
I haven't had any ms but starting to feel yuk now, but I think its just nerves.

Nefertiti -
I had spotting/mucus with my pg and went on to have a healthy buba, sorry do not know what my levels were though. But as others have said that fact that it is brown is good as it means it is old blood. Will send postive vibes your way.

Big hugs Nefertiti! I too had bleeding, with the gremlins at 5 weeks, 9 weeks and 25 weeks, and with this babe I bled for a week at 8 weeks and 2 weeks at 12 weeks. Brown isn't such a worry, it's if it turns bright red like everyone else said, but even then, I had huge floods of bright red at 14 weeks and ended up in hospital coz my BP bottomed out and yet bub is now only weeks away from being born!
Hang in there, will be thinking of you.
