Hi there,

Our little girl (7 weeks) has reflux & unfortunately gets really upset when I try putting her into Fuzzis. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I could try to make her more comfortable or any brands that might be better. I think it's the pressure on her tummy that might be the issue.

Any suggestions anyone as I'm keen to cloth nappy full-time in the future.

Thanks.

Daniel had reflux and didn't have an issue with them pressing against his tummy. I haven't heard that one before!

All nappies I think are much of a muchness when it comes to what they are like against tummys, have you tried just doing up the tummy a snap looser? And leaving the thighs nice n snug

What about a velcro fastening nappy?

I've heard that from a friend - I think she had to find nappies that fit really loose around the stomach but still fit round the legs - a tad impossible!

I'll send her your message and see what advice she has.

My only thought was velcro naps as well.

The gremlins were refluxers and I didn't have any probs with MCNs with them, but thinking about it they were in Happy Heiny's to start with and they are a velcro fastening nap...

Reflux baby here too, and no problems using mcn, fuzzis are our usual nappy. We decided not to put ds into trousers but to only use overalls and allinones when very lttle, but now there are no issues with that either.

Do you have leak issues? If you have the waist slightly loose, but with heaps of absorbancy you will probably be fine.

Another idea (what we do with funny shaped Jack) is get ones with snaps parallel (like peapods) and then do the bottom snap up as tight as you can and then do up the top snap one snap back so they end up being on an angle if that makes sense.

I was also wondering about ones with stretchy tabs (bumgenius) or elastic in the back (little buttons).

Rohann has reflux and I've not had any issues, though for ages her main nappies were Bum Genius with velcro fastners. Wether or not that had anything to do with it I couldn't say.
