Topic: Gorgeous Cot Linen - Where? Posted: 10 April 2006 at 10:11am |
Hi Ladies,
I live in Auckland and was hoping someone may be able to recommend a nursery store that sells gorgeous Cot Linen Sets and Blankets?
We would like to invest in one GORGEOUS set for our newborn (we have two other old sets at home) but I just can't seem to find anything?
I don't want to go spending crazy amounts of money, but I would really like something that feels and looks beautiful and need some ideas of where I could find this?
Also, we need something unisex...
Please help!! Thanks...

If it is allowed to be a bit pricey try:
Apples and Pears
Baby Bliss
My Room
Junior Room
I got these out of the Little Treasures Mag.

Thanks newmum! Those are fantastic.... I love "My Room"
Thanks gsmum too!! :)
We don't mind spending a little bit over the top for something that will last forever.
We just want atleast one "good" set. You know?
The hardest thing of all is finding something that isn't pink or blue! haha
If anyone else has any ideas at all (websites are great!) please let me know...

i had a mozzie net up over xanders cot n he kept pulling the netting in his cot.hence why it has never been put up since.id be weary of them as babe gets to the sitting/standing up n cot stage as could be potential choking/suffocation hazard?????sorry if i am scaring ya lol.i have not yet heard of it happening tho

Sorry I don't have any gorgeous cot linen so can't help you there.
Briscoes has better mosquitoe nets (IMO) and cheaper too. Not sure if they have white, but you could check.
Ella has one above her cot coz it looks good and matches the rest of her room.. unless she were to swallow the whole net or take a bite out of it (she hasn't) I don't think it could choke her Also there are holes in the material so it would be hard to suffocate under it

hehe i guess thats true but from wot i saw of wot xander pulled into his cot i could see how easy it woud be for a wriggly baby to get caught up in iit and not be able to wriggle backout.but i guess in saying that they woud start crying or screaming so u would know to go check on themlol

Thanks Xandersmum. I know what you mean and when baby does get big enough or curious enough to tug/pull at it, it will come down.
I had one over Maddisyns cot also and as she got bigger I just took it down. So it can stay up there for the first few months. :)
Thanks for the tip meow! Off to Briscoes I go!! hehe
Thanks Roksana also. I am definately going to check out this Bertini range. Sounds popular?

okay this link is for a picture of the nursery rhyme cot sheets that i just brought for my little one from a shop we have here in whangarei. They are beautiful and feel so nice.
Now i didnt pay $59-95 for them (actally divide it by almost 6) The only thing is they have their tags cut off so you dont know the brand. They also are selling the quilts that go with the sheets for $30 I think. So fantastic savings. If you want any i could prob go into town for you sometime and put them in the post for you.

As some of you may or may not know we spent a truckload on linen and bedding (seeing as how it was a 'gift' from my MIL!), and I am so in love with the Classic Winnie the Pooh stuff - got two sheet sets, plus a duvet / quilt set as well ($$$) - soooo beautiful ! I like Disney Winnie the Pooh as well, but not as much as the old fashioned one. Oh, and we bought all our stuff from Baby Factory, although I know Baby City has it as well.

Thank you Karysta! What a good site. I am going to try find some time this afternoon to look at some of those stores online. They look fabulous.
Thank you Angelnz! It is so nice of you to offer. I have to admit, I really do love "Little PJ's" designs. I might have to order online though as I would need to buy the white linen - Not sure what we are having yet?
But I will definately PM you if there is something you may be able to post to me. Thanks so much.
Jax & Leish - I ADORE that Classic Pooh design! The brown/cream one. I think its adorable and I am trying to find somewhere that have them for a good price. I will check out Baby Factory and Baby City to see what their prices are like. Any other store who may stock them?
I am also going to check out this Bertini range girls, you all seem to like them and one other thing I really would like is a gorgeous blanket/wrap for baby - Something that feels so good!
You gals are full of ideas! I'm loving this!! THANKS!!
