Is there anyone that still temps for awhile once they get pregnant?
I thought that I still would for a few more days or whatever. But this morning my temp dropped below the line! So now I am freaking out a little bit! This was my first month of temping, but I do know that a drop means af is on the way. But what does it mean once pregnant?
Can anyone know please? Thanks.

Im not sure hun, I never did any of that while trying to fall pregnant so I didnt stress myself out.

Best thing for you to do is **try** and relax I know how hard this is, especially after having a m/c having been there myself and having another scare with this pregnancy at 5 weeks.

Dont do anymore temping or anything lol. Are you having anothe rlot of hcg done to check that they are still doubling every two days?

Thanks Sheza. The midwife I saw yesterday said that based on a positive urine, she doesn't get hcg's done. I have an appt with my doc (who I feel more comfortable with) this morning. She'll have no prob getting more tests done, even if for my piece of mind!

Yeah, I had to have heaps done with this pregnancy cos I had bleeding at about 5 weeks, so I freaked out thinking I was m/c again, but it was all ok(as u can see lol).

I think though when we have too much info its worse, ya know? I found that if I knew too much I would stress even more. Thats why I say just try to relax and enjoy the fact your pregnant and try not to worry about all the things that "could" happen.

I did Nefertiti then it just freaked me out too so I stopped as I dont think there is any scientific evidence out there like when temping for ov etc? not sure on that but I couldnt find any info on it, my advice would be to stop doing it and just try and relax hun, easier said than done I know I had hcgs every 3 days or so until I had an early scan because of a previous mc, that was nerve wracking too waiting for the next results but it was good in the end gave me piece of mind and reassurance

Sheza is right too much information can be a bad thing sometimes!

Yeah I stopped as soon as I got the BFP because I figured if it did weird things I'd freak out.

I'd say you're fine - I've never read anything about what the temps should do once you get your BFP but surely at some point they should go down again?

Give yourself a sleep in with no little beeps in the mornings.

It's not recommended to temp while pregnant as your temps swing all over the place as you've found out. You get surges in both progesterone and estrogen in early pregnancy. The estrogen surges are what causes the temperature drop.

Hide that thermometer, or get your partner to hide it for you.
