Topic: Large nappies?? Posted: 07 May 2008 at 10:50am |
Alex is in a large size, but I have found a lot of 'large' nappies are not large enough. He fits a tweedle large nicely, and I'm sure he would fit a foxy Large, as they are quite big... but does anyone know of any other nappies, which are a generous fit?? Bum genius, Haute OSFA, happy heineys L and OSFA are all too small.
TIA!!

Designer bums larges are pretty large, berry plush/bitti d'lish, wigglebums (all my favs that my boy is still on mediums.. lol) would be too small... Fuzzis might be larger? Ecobubs are 11kg+, but quite possibly too small. WAHMies one size is apparently very good at both ends of the scale.

I just had a look at the DB's and they do sound as though they would fit. I might try them. Thanks!!

I wouldn't say that the dlish naps are large. I've tried one on daniel and he almost doesn't fit it and he's not exactly a huge chubby bubba lol.
Wigglebums do an XL I think.

Never mind... found them!! They don't mention a XL size, but I will email Karyn and ask her.

Wigglebums are great, I'm sure she will do custom orders if you ask.

yep d'lish are small fitting. charli is in large naps and her d'lish is more like a medium in comparison.
you could also try baby harmony naps. they are 95% of my stash and i love them. the large fits both jack and charli on the tightest snaps

You could try an XL Fuzzi. I had 2 for Grace as a night nappy which she wore from 2.5-3.5yrs and it fitted fantastically, with heaps of room for growth. She was a big kid too, 15kg at 2yrs. She's now 19kg at 4yrs old and it still fits her (I tried it on out of curiosity the other night!).

There's a thread on TNN about some 13-15k toddlers still fitting med fuzzis So XL might be overkill, L is pretty big!

Leo is 13kg and there's no way he'd fit a medium Fuzzi. He's in a large now. And Grace at 2.5yrs fitted an XL, that's the only reason I suggested it. But if you have a light toddler then of course it could be overkill.

I guess it depends on the kid - a lady bought some meds for her new bubs, and tried them on her 15.5kg toddler, and they fit fine. I was pretty surprised. Though if he's tall you'd need the rise of petites/large.

Are you talking new style or old style Fuzzis? Maybe the new style mediums are cut bigger??

I would say the new ones, since she's just bought them - but others were talking about 13kg toddlers in meds fine. I'd probably try XL and then if it is too big for day, could still probably get use as a night nap!

I have had a look at the size chart, and Large sound fine, but then you never know until you try them. He is 14kgs, and quite tall. Oh dam I wish I could try both before buying.... but yeah I guess I could use an XL as a night nappy if it was too big for daytime.
Now I'm so confussed I don't know what to do

Toddlers start thinning out at a certain age which is why older kids can sometimes move back down a size.
Hannah fitted larges at 12 months but definitely would have been back in the med size if she was still wearing them at 2.
