I'm at a loss at what to do now.

Every 2nd night Daniel wakes up just before I'm about to go to sleep and cries inconsolably from wind pain. This can go on for just an hour, or for several hours. Lots of tears. He doesn't let anyone touch his lower tummy when this is going on.

Peddling his legs seems to help - when he lets us. Most of the time he just staightens his legs and refuses to budge.

Hes getting infacol in every bottle now. We make sure we burp him for a good amount of time after each drink.

We have tried giving pamol as a last resort but that doesn't make a blind bit of difference.

Tired mummy just wants a couple of decent nights sleep.

Does anyone have any ideas on how we can help his pain?

Oh and I don't even know whats causing it. We haven't changed formulas. He's been on S26 for a number of months now with no probs. We haven't added anything new to his diet either.

Poor baby amd mummy! Is he constipated at all? You could try more/ some water?

I would take him to either a chiro or an osteo and see if they can help.

No he's not constipated. He gets watered down prune juice every day to keep him regular.

I'm reluctant to take him to an osteo again. I've been once and I thought it was an utter waste of time and wish I hadn't.

Jack has had a lot of wind for a while now and I think it is related to teething although the books say that they are not related. I have found that gripe water has helped bring the wind up (or out as it is mostly at the lower end! ) alot faster.

The Katitane Nurse also suggested that I could be feeding him dinner too close to bed time so I have been feeding him at about 4.30pm now and he only has a snack with us when we eat at 6pm. His wind doesn't seem as bad so this could possibly be the answer

Hey stacey, I dont know if this will help Daniel but it helps me, i suffer from REALLY bad wind pain and I find that if I place a heat pack on my upper tummy it helps to shift the wind so I can ermm..."get rid of it".
Im not really into taking things for it so the pharmacist suggested heat and i do find it really helps, so maybe it could help Daniel aswell...?

Not only does the heat help the wind shift, it also feels nice and takes some of the uncomfy pain away.

No problem I know wind sucks for me so for lil bubba it must be so awful not being able to say where it hurts. Even if the heat just comforts him it might be enough to relax him and help get rid of the wind pain.

I had wind problems for a while too (T is a year next week)and an earlier tea helped and I gave him a tummy massage after his bath if he woudl lie still which seemed to work as well. Good luck
