Any ideas what this is? I don't think it is blood as there is no sign anywhere else on the nappy. It only occurs when she has No:2's and is light pink in colour.

could it be the vinegar that we use to strip? or maybe canesten? I haven't had this problem before and I haven't changed anything...

I hope nothing is wrong with Joy

I've had this too. Is it quite bright pink? It comes out in the next wash...but I havebeen hunting through the load looking for the "red sock"....not found

it comes out in the wash...but it is there before we wash the nappy (straight after we change her), which is the most worrying part.

Sometimes it is quite pink like you say nzpiper.

I think sometimes it can just be a freakish thing? Cos we sometimes get orange/pink bits on our BG inserts, but nothing on the disposable liner right next to his bum.

As an aside, what do you do to strip your nappies? Just do a wash with vinegar? If so, how much? I'm so confused. Ok, I'm thread-jacking now

That's right emz, nothing on the actual nappy or the liner. Very strange.

We strip with about a small cup (size that comes in ecostore box) of vinegar, same amount of baking soda, same amount sensitive wash powder and 1 cap of canesten. I scrub the nappies with dishwash liquid first and rinse before washing with above concoction. I only strip once per month.

Happens here too. Is Joy on formula? Thats what I have put it down to. Formula poos that is, because it never happened when she was breastfed.

I've noticed that Anyssa's bibs get pink stains on them, and thought it was milk. I wonder if it is the same thing? (just other end)

She has been on formula for quite a while now so maybe not that...might be the anitbiotics/cough medicine that she has been on, they are both pinky red colours. That is weird.
If she was using disposables we wouldn't even have noticed it.
