we are going to a first birthday on the 27th and the invite says 'take a plate of your favourite childhood treat' we are arguing over what to take:) so what was yours?

DH's was fairy bread(i cant have butter or marg so it doesnt really stick without butter hehehe ;)

I think mine was animal biscuits:)

They still make those animal biscuits!!

My favourite party food was cheerios and sauce!  And still is lol. YUM!!

Snap KiwiMummy I was gonna say that too! Although yeah also love fairy bread and animal bikkies.

Hmm or wine biscuits that you decorate with icing and jellybeans - YUM. And you have it all in little bowls so people can assemble their own

Maybe you should take both fairy bread and bikkies

i so wanna take it all:) i had a great childhood with lotsa stuff like that at birthday time..so thats why im having trouble choosing..but i asked my Mum she said animal biscuits were my fav...:) ! iced biscuits!yum!!!!!

Ooooh yes! Animal biscuits (which I now buy for "the kids", and scoff myself) and Lolly Cake. My mum made THE best!

How about honey rice bubble slice (mmm.. I'm making some for a party tomorrow).

My mum used to make bread casings with various fillings (corn, cheese and bacon was a favourite).

Especially lolly log! I always remember making it with my Grandma. Her recipe book called it "Regina Roll". She used to call it Vagina Roll
(That was the ONLY time she'd ever gone NEAR the gutter, that I recall).
