Jack is nearly one and for about the last month he has been having real problems with wind, not really burping but farting ALOT! The worst is at night as it wakes him up and often takes a while (about half hour) to come out, this is happening 3-4 times a night lately. It has got marginally better as the first few nights it happened we were up for 2-4 hours.

I don't know what is causing it. He had a few problems with wind when he was a baby but nothing too bad. I don't think it is anything he is eating as nothing in his diet has really changed. It seemed to coincide with him starting to crawl so I took him to the osteo and he doesn't have any head/neck probs which she thought he would. He does have a wonky pelvis which she is fixing but doesn't think that is causing the wind.
I am using homeopathic Colimed which is possibly helping. Am too scared to stop using it to see if it is working or not, just in case.

Any ideas on what could be causing it?? Jack has never been a great sleeper at night but before this happened I was just starting to get 5-6 hrs solid sleep and I want it back!

Thanks, I will give it a try. Judging by the night so far I may have a few opportunities to practice

Blake had bad wind and quite often it was at night....we would get him up and let him just sit on one of our knees for a while then slowly big farts would come out...Plus we found that once relaxed...if you lie him on his back..then bend his legs and push sort of up and in....they usually fart...even rolling onto his side can help and sleeping him on his tum gets it all out too.

Good luck :)

Have just put Jack down for his afternoon nap and it was a major battle. I don't think he was over tired but he just cried and cried, after trying so many things I remembered to try this and it worked! Thanks heaps!!
