Topic: Finally excited :) Posted: 17 March 2008 at 7:26pm |
I've been lurking over the last few months but not posting as I've had a tough time coming to terms with this pregnancy.
BUT … I'm finally excited. I had the anatomy scan today and bubs is all looking good and is a BOY!!!!! Bruce is over the moon and can't stop telling everyone he meets, he's usually very reserved and doesn't show his emotions so this is a big change.
So its taken me 19 weeks but I'm finally starting to look forward to another little bubs rather than resenting it (how horrible does that sound?) So I just needed to share my joy.

Wooooo! A boy!!
And yay for feeling excited... truly understandable that it has taken a while for you to come to terms with it. I think it takes those who plan to come to terms with it that long anyway! hehe

Now I get to completely buy blue gear, not too bad as I sold all my baby things as 2 was it for us
But Bruce has got the hint and has booked himself in for the snip at the end of the month
And Emma, I still have moments were we wonder why we didn't stop at one, especially when Steph wants to start the day at 3.30am (but she is the milk mans daughter so what do I expect?)

Debbie - you have my perfect family. I'd love to have two girls then a boy (as much as we're not supposed to admit it and will love anything we get).
Congrats on your growing family - yay for a wee boy to join the brood.

We got rid of all our newborn stuff for the same reason! Oooh, but just think of all the new nappies you can make!
We'll have to get Steph and the gremlins together again soon now that they're all chaos on two legs!

Thanks guy, we've told the whole family know. Bruces father needed to sit down when he heard the news, this is the last grandchild for them and the only boy, plus if this one was a girl the family name would have died out.
Debs, Eden is gorgeous, thanks for posting pics in her nappies, I had forgotten about them.
And good luck with ttc #3 The_Stuarts. I know I'm very lucky getting a boy this time round, was honestly expecting another little girl (which would still have been a wonderful thing too).

Sounds like you're doing well, don't feel bad about how long it's taken to get your head around it and accept the pregnancy, sometimes 40 weeks is a blessing in disguise
