Topic: I take back... Posted: 10 March 2006 at 10:23am |
any advice I ever gave anyone on helping ease morning sickness. I stand corrected. There is NOTHING that helps morning sickness. Shopping at Pak n Save with morning sickness is equal to a visit to a torture chamber. Cooking meals with morning sickness is much the same. Pity poor Willie and Maya for having to live with me. I am going back to bed

Sorry to hear you guys are feeling horrible. Everyone is different I know, but I found having a couple of Arrowroot biccies made me feel *slightly* better! Hope you can find someting that will work or at least take the edge off
Had to giggle at the shopping comment as I TOTALLY agree!! I went shopping a week or two ago and there was a homeless man in the same aisle and he STUNK!! I gagged and very nearly threw up!! Lucky DH was with me or else I would have bought nothing after that as I felt so ill!

Sorry about your MS. I had MS for about a week and found that eating dry biscuits in bed before rising worked for me. Also warm milk helped me too. And Cammomile tea. Cammomile is not that bad, lol.
Hope you can find some remedy that helps you.

You poor thing Emma I SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO know how you feel. Nothing does help, not even lots of rest - it never goes away!!! I still get sick now!! The only thing I've found to be remotely nice is apple juice frozen into ice cubes.
I hope you don't have to deal with this for as long as you did with Maya I'll be thinking of you, and commiserating!!

Awww Emma... as if it wasn't bad enough when you had your first babe (ie no 3 year old running round). While I only had my MS for a couple of weeks last time, it was absolute hell! Having to be constantly running after Hannah and making food all the time when all I wanted to do was sleep and throw up!!
Anyway... sympathy. Get Willie to make dinner for the next day when he is up at 1am making roasts

Thanks ladies
LMAO Nikki you made me smile. Which is a huge achievement considering I just lost the battle with breakfast. I'm not sure if I will ever eat toast and marmite again
Claire - thanks! I really felt for you when you were going thru it coz I *thought* I remembered what it was like. Turns out I only remembered that half of it!

Thanks Maria, you just reminded me what's ahead of me . Although if this bub is anything like big sister I'm thinking considerably larger than a pineapple, maybe a watermelon..

Hey the seabands are a great idea, I think I'll try them next time. I used them on Ella when we went on the ferry last time, I felt like spewing (I had sea legs) but she was fine.
Hope you can find something to calm the sick feeling Emma! or it just goes away really soon
