First off, I'm so glad I was refered to this place, cuz I can never get hold of my poor midwife cuz she's so busy, and I dont have any friends to talk to about being pregs :( So yay for you all.

You know how you're sposed to get small pains etc as your bump grows cuz of the ligaments etc - how does one know when theres too much of that going on? every time I move just about, im getting pulling pains - when I go potty I get them, when i'm laying in bed and everything settles I get them - and other random stabbing pains which has bought me to the conclusion that im growing an axe murderer inside me lol. Is this all normal? Honestly its really getting me down and im crying lots more than usual - much to my boyfriends horror, and I just dont wanna do anything or see anyone and am generally down in the dumps. I'd go see my doctor if rangiora and kaiapoi doctors werent completely booked out and not taking on casual patients :/ Man... GRRR lol

All I can say is I don't know if its normal but I also suffer from a lot of pain throughout and I don't even really have much of a bump yet. It doesn't make sense to me but at least I can say you are not alone on this one.
As for the crying and just feeling down. Being preg is an emotional time, all those hormones but sometimes it goes further than we can handle and we need help. You could ring the health free line and ask what they would do if you really felt too overwhelmed.

*hugs* feel better.

i suffer from alot of pain but i talked to my mw about it and its just that i have two babies in there so everything is stretching twice as fast and more then 'normal'.
i am also convinced that one of these babies has a knitting needle that they poke me with!!

as for not being able to get hold of you mw thats something i would be a bit worried about. especially if this is your first baby and everything is new to you.... i would ring my mw and ask her the most random questions or if i just needed reassurance about something.

Yep totally normal to get those sort of pains.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Ouch... growing pains hurt, and they tend to hang around for your whole pregnancy. With my last (#2) i couldn't stand for more than 1/2 an hour at a time cos everything got so sore... and my 1st pregnancy is cried 90% of the time! I had no idea what was happening to me. 2nd time was a little eaiser, but only cos i knew it was just my crazy hormones.
