So off I headed to hospital for an anti d shot (which in itself is another story, will post about on the miscarriage board) and ended up spending the bloody night there! The doctors weren't happy that my BP was low and I was 'dehydrated' (I live in a constant state of dehydration coz of the ptyalism despite drinking 4 litres of water a day).

So it was IV fluids for me, plus the anti d, a night on the ward (if you can call it that, I didn't get admitted till 2am!) and then an ultrasound today which showed one very healthy 14 week old foetus jumping around all over the place. Well not exactly jumping, little monkey had it's head so far down my cervix I had to get up and jump around to get it to move so they could measure it properly, but you get the picture, there was nothing wrong, and no cause seen for the bleeding.

So now I am back at Mum and Dad's, on 'bedrest' (how does that work when you have 3 kids?) until the bleeding stops, and still none the wiser as to why I'm bleeding in the first place.

I am trying sooo hard to be relaxed about this pregnancy, and I am surprisingly not stressed about it, but this bub is determined to make me remember it's there!

So home

That is totally random Emma. When do you head home??

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Emma did they say whether you had a low lying placenta? considering baby is so low down like you said that can sometimes be it when the uterus is stretching if the placenta is a bit lower it can cause a bit of bleeding sometimes? I dunno though really, hope it stops. Neat you got to see the bubs, still too early to tell the sex though isn't it.. oooooh i remember you're doing the surprise thing.

hugs
Janine and her 2 cool chicks, Paris & Ayja

Nope, placenta is posterior and away from the OS. She thought she could see a small subchorionic haemorrage but it turned out to be just a contraction in the uterine wall so no answers there.

Good luck with the bed rest and three other kiddies. I bet the scan was reassuring though. I laughed about you jumping up and down, with Madison we always had to rock my belly to get her moving

I seriously hope that the bleeding stops soon.
Am pleased that Iggle Piggle was bouncing around in there, but maybe Iggle Piggle should give mummy a break and behave!!!!

Naugbty wee Iggle Piggle! You need to give your Mummy a break from all that bouncing!
How scary for you Emma. I am so pleased all is ok - not nice for your nerves AT ALL! Rest up as much as you can. I hope it all settles down soon.
Take care.
