Lately I've been seriously obsessing about having another baby. This is totally mad. I have a not-quite-six-month-old - how the heck would I manage with a 15-month-old and a newborn, especially when DH is away? He's in the Navy. And we'd be posted to England with a 20 month old and a 4 month old, which I cannot imagine is a recipe for relaxation and enjoyment.

Someone please bash my head against a wall or confiscate my ovaries for a couple of years.

The power of the ovaries. If your head needs bashing, maybe we can bash ours together. I have a 5month old too and often think about another one.....and I have two older ones to add to that

My sister's kids are aged (nearly) 2, 3 and 4 !! She said it was a lot of hard work (well technically it still is!) when they were younger, but now that the older one is quite independent and heading to school, she is finding it is getting easier. They are all girls and get on great

Mikaela, I'm in the same boat. I've been desperate for another baby since Michaela was about 7 months old. I even convinced my husband to start trying again before Christmas but this only lasted a month.

Michaela's probably a good age to start thinking about a sibling now but I literally worked until the day I gave birth to her and had to go back to work fulltime when she was only 5 months old and I don't want to do it again so I need to pay some bills off first - the idea that I'll get more time with Michaela and the next one if I hold off is the only thing that's keeping my ovaries in check.

Both my sisters have kids really close in age (17 months apart). Debs are 6 and 7.5 y/o respectively and they are great together but early years were hard. One of my best freinds had a surprise baby almost 2 years to the date after her first and again their pretty good together most of the time.

when i was preggy with charli and feeling like crap, i told DH if ever i said i wanted another one, remind me how crap i'm feeling right now!

but so far, that's not working...it's amazing how quickly you forget things

i don't think i want another child, just really miss that baby stage...at least i think that's whats wrong with me

I had such a fantastic pregnancy and a great birth (well as good as it can be when your pushing someones head & body through a very small tube) so I think it makes it harder because I'd love to be pregnant again. But I keep reminding myself that I can't go for naps after work with the next one and if I'm too quesy or tired to cook/clean that's just tough because Michaela needs to eat.

Man, who am I kidding, I want another baby. I better leave this stream before I go home and cut holes in all our contraception.

Its not that bad but you get very little sleep and no time to yourself its kind of like if it isn't one its the other with everything (sickness, night waking, poo nappies etc..) I actually think it was harder going from no kids to one kid than having 2 under 2. The first one adapts really well because they are so young and forget they were ever the only one. Not that you need any encouragment lol with no support it would be very hard

Gina will be 15 months when bub #2 arrives so I'll let you know.
I'm hoping, as Gina was a really easy going baby, this one will be too but of course one never knows
