Hi there

I'd appreciate any feedback on the best sleeping bag/sack for baby. I have been eyeing up the go-go bags and also nature baby's sleep cocoon. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Rachael

I only have go-go bags so I can't compare, but all I can say is that I love them and couldn't do without them. My baby has slept through the night since going into her go-go bag at 10 weeks old, and because they are merino wool they temperature adjust so no need for extra blankets.

We also have a go go bag which we LOVE!!! Bit more expensive than other bags, but we put Charlotte in one when she went into her cot and she was in it until she went into her big girls bed a couple of months ago at 19 months!! I wish I had of bought it earlier. Love the natural merino fibre and like Lulu said it temperature adjusts. Also found it good in the push chair and car seat. Like Lulu I can't make a comparison as it is all we have but would totally recommend them.
Also the Sleep store has some specials running on them at the moment til 21st Dec and with free shipping. www.thesleepstore.co.nz if you want to check them out!!

Since it's getting hotter now, we are using a NZ made PekeMoe, they come in summer weight and winter weight, and they are fantastic! We paid $38 for it and it's great because Cooper hates being wrapped now, so this way his hands are free to be stuck in his mouth and he's covered during the night. Check out their website, the girls who make them are so lovely.. and the PekeMoe's are very well made too.

We use the gogo bag for spring/summer and then have a winter weight baby caterpillar bag. Both the Gogo bag and baby caterpillar are made out of merino wool (I am pretty sure baby caterpillar is NZ made) and are brilliant for regulating her temperature. They are expensive (baby caterpillar is slightly cheaper) but soooooo worth it and last until they are 2 years old.

I find the Chelsea Bee bags are the best and they're NZ Made also. At the moment you can get 2 bags for the price of 1. Great value for money!

I am a peke moe mother too, and love it. It keeps everything enclosed and has meant that Lily hasn't got into the roaming around the cot like a lot of her peers have (in other bags too). Plus arms and hands are enclosed.

We use a go-go bag...standard in summer and winter in winter. I used it all last summer but this year I worry about her getting to hot so am just using a cheaper cotton one at night ATM. Anyone else doing this?

I've got the Go Go bags, one summer, one winter. However, Cooper still likes being wrapped up as he wakes himself with his arming swinging about! SO we are yet to start using them properly.

We just got given a gogo bag and Rowan used it for the first time last night - it's fantastic!

She can keep her arms out which is what she likes and because the merino regulates temperature she doesn't overheat which is what I was worried about (seems weird putting her in wool in this heat but there you go). And she'll be able to use it until she's two apparently.

This is the website which has an online store but I'm sure there must be retail outlets that sell it too.

I've never used the go-go bags, but last winter swore by just cheap cotton ones from The Baby Factory - it made it really difficult for Ella to kick her blankets off, so didn't have to be too cozy a bag as she had blankets anyway.
