those are the ones I take/took. They worked great and didnt block me up...did the opposite which was great while I was pregnant but I dont like it now.

I'm going to ask GP to check my iron today and if it is low I am going to try and get an injection. I feel unusually tired these days and know my iron was very low when Tom was born (I only had 2/3 the transfusion I was meant to)

she said 'i can go on a supplement if i want to but she will monitor me anyway' so not sure if that means more blood tests..i guess we have more later on? i was so excited about having a normal result i forgot to check when she rang but just wanted to make sure the chemist guy knew what he was talking about:)

I'm taking FerrogradC, too. They're great!
They don't hurt my tummy or block me up.
Mind you, I eat a lot of kiwifruit so that probably helps
I took two a day (as per mw's instruction) for a week then cut back to the one a day dosage on the pack. I feel a massive difference.

They are more expensive than the others though, I think...You can buy the plain ones and just have a kiwifruit or orange (something citrus with loads of vit c) which will do exactly the same thing. The vitamin c just helps your body absorb the iron better. NEVER take iron with coffee/tea as it affects the absorption rate. And yes, before food is best.

Those are the ones I am taking. I have had a course of the jab and it really helped.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!
