I think I may have them too but very mild. I bought the cream over the internet to save me from embarrasment! It is called anusol- nice name huh

Start the Kiwicrush or benefibre to stop them getting worse. I have not been constipated at all but think the pressure has caused them. Ahh, another joy of pregnancy!

A cold flannel will help relieve the swelling. A hot flannel will make it worse. I heard that cream is really good too from patients at work who swear by it. Kiwicrush is great for the bowels. I hope you are feeling better soon chick

Also make sure that you're drinking plenty of water.

Kiwicrush are the best! Especially as it's so hot.
Hope they clear up soon

What is with all these things no one EVER tells you about pregnancy?! Hemorrhoids, leaky nips, swabs in places we don't want swabs, placenta delivery...

It's almost enough to put you off

Yup, haemarrhoids are a pain in the arse alright (no pun intended ). I had them REALLY bad, and mine got worse as I got bigger with the pressure of bubs pushing 'down there'. And I still have them. I think I will just have to put up with them until I'm finished having babies and then get them removed

But, if you can clear them up at this early stage and keep on top of any constipation by taking metamucil or equivalent, you should be fine.

I had wicked heamaroids during pregnancy and then they got worse after labour and pushing !

Now they are shocking, I need to go to the docs and get mine sorted out! Definately take benefibre, it works wonders!!

No one told me about these lovely things that happen because of pregnancy

Protosedyl is hydrocortisone creme that shrinks the haemorrhoids (sp?) and reduces the pain. You can buy it from the chemist (about $30) and it is safe to use in pregnancy.

Hate the haemorrhoids! Wait until after you have pushed that baby out!
