Topic: Anatomy Scan Posted: 12 November 2007 at 8:38pm |
We had our anatomy scan today and unfortunately got the news our baby has spina bifida. We are obviously in shock, but have a specialist appointment tomorrow to find out our options. Just goes to show, taking folic acid for 6 months before conception does not guarantee anything.

Wow 's.
I know a girl who was born with it and is now a really happy 23 year old. She is still in a wheel chair (will be forever) but she is a happy girl.

What a shock. All the best for the specialist appointment and beyond.
I guess no matter what precautions we take, nothing is ever 100%.
