ok, so Paris has obviously decided that she is accident prone. The last 2 days have been a barrage of accidents one after the other.

2 days ago she was in a hurry to pack up her polly pockets, and fell over with such force as to slit the side of her wrist on the lid (which is not even sharp... that's how hard she hit it!) took off a huge piece of skin, at least she was happy that she got a hi-5 sticking plaster.

yesterday she was at daycare and some kid ran into the side of her face full force. his head hit the side of her cheek bone underneath her eye. she now has a bit of a shinner there and a bump.

Today I get a ring from daycare to say she was running inside, fell and hit a shelf on the way down. So, I
sent mike across to assess it and he decided it was fine and that she could stay there. She gets home at lunch time and the sticking plaster over it is soaking with blood! I look at it and its not a huge big thing
but goes in pretty deep, like someone literally stuck the corner of the shelf into her head! But Mike goes back to work anyway and says we'll take her to the docs at 5 cos I am still in jammies - Ayjas been a nut this morn and I'm trying to assignment done so haven't had a shower yet.

So I am here now, waiting for her to wake up cos i'm thinking no way am I waiting till 5 to take her
it's still bleeding, so it's not a good sign, considering she did it at like 9.30 am and it's now close to 2pm. By 5 it will have started to heal over a little and probably they won't put in a stitch that late which is what I think it needs.. no way do I want her having an icky scar just cos it needed a stitch which didn't get done in time.

argh accidnet prone kids, and annoying men.

sorry to vent but ARGH!

I've been watching her and she seems to be ok, has been a bit of a grommet, but mainly fine. we took her to the docs and yep it was deep enough for a stitch, but they decided to glue it instead - thank goodness, wasn't looking forward to holding her still. She was very brave.

pics don't really show how deep it is, but you can see the kewl purple glue they used... Paris made us laugh though... we told her they were going to glue her.. and she asked us for some glitter too!! funny kid!

Sounds a bit like Sophie - though she has managed to avoid anything serious.  Lately she seems to be constantly tripping over, banging into thing and hurting herself.  She fell down the back steps twice the other day!  Can't work out if it's a growth spurt or she's got a bit confident and needs to slow down a bit.

Keegs had the glue a few mths back when he fell backwards on to my Nanas coffee table. Great stuff except after a few weeks i had to pick the remaining bits off although it was in his hair so maybe thats why.
Hope Paris is feeling better poor wee thing.

Wow, that's an amazing wound. Something to be proud of!

Crazy that they glue it. Maybe they will start putting glitter in next!?

Yeah i think paris just put two and two together cos she's used to glue and glitter at daycare. definately one to put in her diary though.

A bruise has come up this morning, cos obviously it's still bleeding a bit underneath, but since it's glued it all just stays in there.

Ouch! Stupid men! I'm glad Paris is okay now!

Nathaniel and I took Josiah to his last eye appointment, and while we were there a friend took the day off work and looked after Kiya (he offered, of course we would take him up on that!) Chris had to go into his office for 30 minutes during the day, and took Kiya with him... she tripped or something and banged her head on the corner of his desk. She looked up, crying, and Chris wondered why her face was dirty! THEN he realised it was blood! He put a sticking plaster on it as it wasn't very deep, and the end of the story is that Kiya has a nice 2mm wide, 1cm long scar in her eyebrow now.

Jake has permanently stubbed toes. He keeps taking the tops of again and they bleed. Luckily it doesn't worry him too much, fallnig over, hitting his head. Otherwise he'd always be in tears.
