    Posted: 24 October 2007 at 4:55pm
Hi there

Am wondering what sort of cots people have. What are the good and bad features? Recommendations???

I am especially interested in Touchwood and Gro Years cots - the ones that are 4-n-1 (bassinet, cot, junior bed, sofa)

I have a 4 in 1 but it is a pamco one. They are based in christchurch and they sell a lot through trademe. They also have a showroom in christchurch. They are very reasonably priced and the cot is very good quality, we were also able to get ours painted white for a little bit extra.
I think they might actually be the same people that make touchwood (not entirely sure about that though)

We have a touchwood and just love it. It is very sturdy and I love that it has two safety latches that need to be pressed to pull down the side. There is no way my wee girls arms are ever going to be that long - well unless she takes after her daddy's side of the family

We got the solid ends and had it stained in a white stain that still allows you to see the wood grain. It is gorgeous!!!

We ended up going touchwood after so many recommendations from friends that had used them.

We have one that's sold through baby factory - i think it's gro-years - we have the buckingham model and it's great - very sturdy and well worth it.

We have just taken the side off for Ayja now and will be converting to the toddler bed end one day soon - however it depends on height of child - ayja's a bit of a shorty - and is coming up 3 soon and her feet are a fair way down the bed - i dare say by 3 and a half we will be needing another bed. but for the meantime - it's wonderful - well worth it and very styley and kewl.

The ones from The Baby Factory are Genesis (they were Childcare but renamed a couple of years ago). But yeah they do bassinette/cot/small bed etc.

P.S Pamco went under earlier this year (or last year can't remember now)

I have a touchwood villa but Alex is still in his bassinet so I've no idea how good it is yet. Looks lovely in his room though!
