I am liking the sleep ins (school hols) but stuffs up his (and mine0 whole day due to not being tired in morning so no morning sleep but by lunch time hes had it and in bed by 1pm... no problem I hear you say.. yes cause he'll wake any time from 3pm till 4pm, and by dinner time hes shattered again... so a very whingie baby at dinner and beyond till bedtime. But should all get better next week when will have to wake him to take kids to school - I am hoping anyhow.

Luckily for me Spencer got tired out that day and was ready for bed an hour earlier than usual so hasn't been a problem. Yay for good timing

The lightness of Daniels room has messed him up, but I went and sorted that out and got a blackout shade. Last night was bliss. Went to sleep without any probs again

Buy some blockout fabric at Spotlight, it has the curtain loops on the fabric so you can just hook it onto the hooks that are already up there, behind the actual curtain. I need to do it soon!

great idea re: blackout fabric. Will have to go to spotlight and buy some of it (I had a look at the blackout blinds, but they were quite expensive for the size that we needed).

I'm loving it but then I have nowhere to be in the morning and love the extra sleep in.

I wish Kaleb would sleep longer! We thought maybe he might sleep the extra hour but NO he's still waking at 5/6am new time! Goes down easily but then again always did.

That sucks, hope he readjusts sometime soon for you. I might have to have a look into those blackout curtains as well cos Spencer quite often thinks its time to get up and play at 6am and I end up putting him in bed with me to get another hour or 2 of sleep.

Arrgghhh! BS I am in total agreement with you. Bloody daylight savings! My great sleeping daughter has been a complete nightmare this week. There are vertical blinds in her room that let in heaps of light and she will not sleep. It makes no sense since she will quite happily nap in there during the day, but means that we are now having to keep her up until 7.30 so it is dark. Tonight we tried putting her down at 6.30 and she screamed for a solid 2 hours before going to sleep. TOAD!
I have asked my landlord if it is ok to put blackout curtains or something similar in her room, but he hasn't gotten back to me yet

i guess we're lucky - the boys have been sleeping till 7 ish (which would really have been 6ish) but i feel like i am getting a sleep in... and have so far had no troubles getting them to bed. in fact they seem to be crashing quicker and i think it is due to the good weather letting them do more running around outside.
