Topic: Natural remedies/ super foods Posted: 13 September 2007 at 11:27am |
Do any of you use any natural remedies for colds and things, that actually work? Or any 'super foods' that you include in your childs diet?
Andy has been sick for about a month and I would like to start looking for some natural preventive type thingies to add to his diet.

Hi chickie! Erm... there's vit C added to shop-bought pureed fruit for babies. It gets killed off at a rather low temp so any fruits we've cooked up ourselves have had it removed with the cooking. Raw gold Kiwi is loaded though... but Andy isn't constipated any more, eh, so might be a bit risky!
(sorry we can't hang today... I hope Andy is better real soon. Ella's not great either... looks like these little angels of ours are on to an evil evil plan to make sure we don't get our coffee dates!)

Hi Andie,
Sorry Ella is still not a happy chappy. I so hope these little monkeys get over it soon! I'm getting cabin fever!
Andy LOVES Gold Kiwi. I give it to him in long quarters and he just shoves it in - uses his second hand to push the first one in. V cute. Doesn't seem to have had any affect in the pooping department. Apart from the wee seeds TMI there! hehe
I always give him fruit for pudding to help with the iron obsorption, but this is really the only thing I make sure I do. I guess I should go WWWing ... fingers crossed Andy has a loooooong sleep. He slept from 2:30am- 8:45 today! AMAZING!!

Hope that gives some help

Floradix Kids Health tonic can be taken from 6m+. I use arnica and rescue remedy as well as baby balsam for colds.
