Sorry if this is TMI but wanted to ask fellow Kiwi's this one and not the Americans I talk to:)

Felt a little sick last night so went to sleep about 830pm...(after haivng done a BM)...slept fine till 2am when I woke up with gas pains..went to do a BM and it was very loose)..then tried to go again about 230 and just gas and nothing else.. but when i tried to sleep my stomach felt kinda bloated and full(like it does when you can't get rid of gas).. just worried me a little that it might be food posioning but it only happened once and I am fine today..

Yesterday I ate yogurt for breakfast then multigrain toast... then got banana milk drank 1 litre of that
(last time i had some felt a bit sick but no problems) and then had two sausages at a bbq (after avoiding all the other food they tried to force me to eat..and had some chips and lollies..got home and about 7pm had four pieces of cheeee on toast with multigrain bread and a pear..

So i'm wondering if it could be too much fibre at once? I hope not the sausages..i watched him cook them though he did have to cook about 30 they were cooked right and steaming hot? Any ideas.. ? I'm such a worrier:(

I think it might be.... if it's food-related it will usually be through your system within 24 or sometimes 48 hours. See how you are tomorrow.

I haven't had any more issues..just the once..and ate and drank since then...ugh...i hate worrying..this is why I am so anal about what I eat in the first place and avoided all the salads and other food she made specially... do you think it could harm the baby?

I had something very similar on Tuesday and Thursday nights. I was up for a bit over an hour both times, just too sore to sleep through it. I just attributed it to what I had eaten. Now that you mention it I did have loads of fibre those days too. I think if it were food poisoning, then you would be throwing up too and it sounds as if the sausages were cooked thoroughly and would've been fine.

I think baby will be fine. If it has all stopped then it probably was just something (like fibre overload) that upset your tummy.
