Topic: IT NOT FAIR! Posted: 30 August 2007 at 6:11pm |
 Hi there
I dont really ever post anything in here but today I just need some advice.
I doesnt really have anything to do with me but it has just hit me sooo hard! My sister called me this morning and told me that a good friend of hers just found out that her baby girl of 5 months old has being diagnosed with a fatal genetic disease that eats away at her muscle eventually shutting down her lungs and heart!
THat baby was the light of thier lives, they have a 2 yr old son and always wanted a little baby girl! She seemed normal except that her motor skillls were developing slightly behind schedule which can be normal anyway! She was a beautiful bright eyed wee girl and now they say that she has only between 1 week and maximum of 2 yrs to live! It is so heatbreaking! How can anyone cope knowing that their baby is going to die! I dont understand why some people who dont even want kids get these healthy babies yet amazing parents who get their miracle baby have this happen to them! What do you do to make thats childs life the best it can be in such a short time!
I feel so angry at the world, and also kind of guilty ( as silly as that sounds) that i have a healthy boy and this little girl will never have a chance! I want to send a card but I know that a card will mean nothing to them, it doesnt help the situation, it wont make them feel happy, it wont do anything except remind them and slap them in the face with the sadness of the situation!
I dont know why im feeling so sad and hurt by this, I dont know what i will gain from this post, but i guess i just needed to get it out there and remind everyone how blessed we are with our healthy babies and remind you all to CHERISH that and give them everything everyday!

Your right, its not fair.
I agree I think you should send the card, it might not solve all their problems but at least they will know people are thinking of them and hearts are breaking for them too.

hon, I am so sorry to read this...nope it is not fair. I get very pissed off with the world when I read of these poor wee mites and their families.
Do send the card, it will make a difference them knowing that people are thinking of them

Aw, man... I wish we'd had more time to really talk and talk about it when we bumped into each other! It's one of the saddest stories I've heard, and I think that your card idea is a lovely one - it's a nice way to share some love with people when they really need it.
