Hi there,
I had a homebirth with my son and was awesome, much better than hospital birth i had with my daughter.
I'm due at end of oct and booked in for homebirth with this one. Going to use a birthing pool this time.
Much better for everyone i thought.

We had an unplanned one due to a very short labour. It was great and I would definately plan it next time. My contractions felt much more manageable than when I had DD, probably because I was so much more relaxed.
I enjoyed having Caleb put straight on me after he was born to cuddle skin-to-skin for about half an hour and was tucked up in my own bed feeding him shortly after giving birth. I slept so much better in my own environment and it was nice to have the support of DP 24/7 for those first few days.
The midwife visited each day for the first few days. Because it was my second child I already knew how to bath him, change nappies etc.

I had a homebirth with my DS, after having a c/s with the first and a VBAC (vaginal birth after c/s) with my second. My homebirth was the first birth i had no drugs and it was fantastic. I felt so in control and my DP was so much more involved in the birth than at the hospital. Im planning another in November.

not being woken up by nurses to check that your ok, and other crying babies is a bonus too. Also being able to eat when and what you want.
Was good having my daughter be able to be part of experience too, she helped cut the cord and was much more relaxing afterward.

I nearly had a homebirth.... nearly didn't make it to Burwood! If I could, I would have a homebirth, but because of problems I have to go to Womans
