Topic: Not eating Posted: 30 June 2007 at 12:26pm |
Okay we are having severe eating issues here, Lockie just doesn't seem to want to eat even if its his favourite things. He ate stuff all yesterday and today he is the same, he did however eat his veges last night so that was a relief.
Friday morning he woke up with a fever and I had to go into him last night as well and he was pretty damn hot again. He is also very irritable and ratty when up.
He had his 15 month jabs last Thursday and also he is cutting his molar teeth, would this have anything to do with it?
Can anyone put my mind at rest and have any advice?

Could be those things or a bug he's coming down with. Give him lots of water and milk/juice today, keep his fluids up and he may want to sleep more. It's the TLC diet

He did sleep into 8am this morning, we put him down at 12 and he was out like a light but only slept for 45mins and woke up extremely grumpy once again. Hubby has taken him for a walk thank goodness, he was really doing my head in. After having a couple of days of it I'm glad there is someone else to take over. Hope he is on the improve by Monday as I have a week at home once again as hubby is away.
He has drunken quite a bit of water this morning but only drunk 120ml of his milk. So who knows, hopefully he will have his bottle when they get back from his walk.

Well fingers crossed he is getting back to normal as he actually ate some lunch today and had some crackers for morning tea, although in saying that he still refused breakfast and wouldn't even drink his bottle. I suppose I just have to go with the flow.

I always make up jelly when my kids are sick - not terribly nutritious but nice on sore throats. taine is a sickie at the mo (thanks big bro for the virus!) and is refusing everything but jelly and ice cream,

Well he actually ate breakfast, lunch and tea today and even had some snacks so he must be on the mend and he also drunk a lot more milk too. But I tell you what he has been damn tired and last couple of nights we have put him to bed at 6.30pm. This morning he didn't wake until 7pm either so that was just awesome.

McKayla goes through stages like this. Sometimes it is a bug that comes up or teeth or jabs. All I do is up her fluid. They will tell you what they want to eat and how much. Dont force it too much. I give in to ice cream and yogurts for her and know she is getting better when she want to eat soft fruits like banana and stuff like cheese.
