QuoteReplyTopic: Question about bottom teeth Posted: 02 July 2007 at 5:33pm
Ash has her two bottom teeth (her only teeth) which she has had since April so they are getting quite big now. I've noticed that they are quite crooked though. Is this common and will they straighten up once she gets some more teeth? Does it maybe mean her adult teeth will be crooked aswell? I noticed my nephew had the same when he only had his two bottom teeth but I haven't really looked since he got more. Does anyone know?

I guess it depends on why they are crooked. Knocked? small jaw? just 'because'? In our family we have small jaws and all the teeth crammed in together is what makes them crooked - but we didn't have crooked baby teeth.
taine's top tooth first came in was the far right one, and I thought that it looked crooked and funny. other teeth came in and it corrected itself easily. hoepfully the case with ashleigh's teeth too.
I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter so much if they are crooked, as long as there are decent gaps between the teeth to allow the adult teeth enough space to come thru. Maya's teeth are still really gappy but we've been told that's a good thing.
PM Alyayde, she's a dental nurse so she's the one to ask
