pictures in emails

HELP!
I am having huge difficulty uploading photos into my email (I am with xtra and web based email only). I only have dial up internet access so realise this will mean it will take a bit longer but am SO over having to cancel jobs because it takes longer than 5 mins a photo.
Is there a way of making image smaller when I upload it? If so could someone please please pm me with instructions on how to do this as I have really frustrated rellies in Oz who want to see pics of Kaleb!

you can also re-size photos in Paint - go to image-stretch/skew and change the % sizes. Then re-save as a smaller file.

For my wedding pics I made them 1/3 the size this way (and you don't have to download anything, which helps on dial-up)
