I'd say get terry towelling if anything as apparently they are more absorbant than flats (from reading stuff on TNN) and you can use a snappi with them (but not with flannel flats)

Someone can confirm??

I tried the flannel flats (just for fun, as you do) that I bought from TNT and thought they were useless for anything other than burping cloths!

I used flannel flats with Maya no problems. IMO the terry ones are much bulkier.
