Can anyone give me advice on getting the portacot all nice for bubs? Do you need special bedding or does the bedding off the cot fit? I have both fitted and flat sheets for her cot so guessing I just use the flat sheets on the portacot? What do you use as far as mattress protector? ... lol it's the simple things that seem so confusing haha

My portacot came with a sheet so I use that first & then tuck a folded single sheet around the base as well so it's a bit thicker. Don't use a mattress protector.

I find a folded single better as it doesn't slip so much.

Thanks. Just out of interest why not use a mattress protector? Just a little worried as DD has a bit of an explosive bum and I quite often end up with a bed full of poo!

I just use a beach towel under the sheet as a mattress protector. Cheap and effective ;)

I have a woolen underlay which I use as a mattress protector in the portacot, also gives a bit more cushioning.

Sorry, that was that I don't use a mattress protector, if DD has an explosive bum then definitely use one.

When DS was younger we used an extra layer under the sheet, not now though. (fingers x)
The fitter sheet probably won't fit your portacot (conspiracy?), we had to buy a different sheet for it.
We've pretty much only gone away in summer, so as for blankets, nothing or a baby sleeping bag.
