Hi. We are moving up to Stanmore Bay at the end of Jan and I need to find a new preschool for my 4 1/2 DD. Ideally I would like her to go to the local kindy, but as they are on holiday at the moment I thought I would get a couple of back up options JIC they don't have a space for her.

Can anyone recommend a good daycare/preschool?

Also does anyone know if any daycares in Stanmore Bay offer 1/2 days for younger kids (e.g. 2 years) ? Or if there is a creche type centre that is local?

Thanks

Hi! and Welsome to the Coast! i live in Red Beach and work at Stanmore Bay, Red Beach and Orewa primary schools with Kelly Club and Kelly Sports.

My cousin in law (16 weeks utd) works at a a creche in the Northern Arena in silverdale. Apparently it is really good. There are heaps around the Coast like Fantails in Stanmore Bay, Cherry Bytes and Drangonfly.

For a daycare I second Fantails in Silverdale, it is wonderful! Otherwise, all the local kindys are good if you prefer that type of care.

Oh, I have to recommend my daughters kindy. It is the Whangaparaoa Baptist Kindergarten. They are super lovely people and Samantha loves it there so much :) It is just up beside the Mall so nice and local. I know they had some sessions available at the end of last term :) Just PM me if you have any questions

Almost forgot to say that they take kids from 2 years. Anthony is due to start hopefully 2nd term this year and he turned two in November.
