We want to get ds (hes 12 months) some books for christmas as he seems to really like looking at them himself. He currently has board books which he can use whenever he wants and I read other ones with him. We have no ideas on what books are good for him as we want books that he will like for a few years.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
At age one my girls were huge fans of lift the flap books like Spot. But if you want to buy more special books that you can read for years to come some of our favs are The gruffalo, The Hairy Maclary series, The wonky donkey, Wilbee the bumble bee, Room on the broom & We're going on a bear hunt.
They are all really colourful, well illistrated books. That flow and ryme and are fun to read again and again
I buy books that I enjoy reading too! Two of our favourites lately is tThe little yellow digger, and when I grow up I want to be a dumper truck. Both quite funny!
just bumped up a thread I started earlier with book recommendations. Really recommend the lift the flap books from Osborne (there is a link in the other thread).
The little yellow digger is also a favourite here, Spot books and books where they are heaps of pictures of different objects (animals, vehicles, people etc)- Tom loves to just point to all the pictures and get us to tell him what they are.
