Topsy and Tim go on an aeroplane before our flights last year. It didn't cover long haul but it covered the basics and really helped I think.
For the concept of time we told them on the first plane we would be having dinner, sleeping and then breakfast. And lunch and dinner on the second plane I think (no stopover).
Don't know about singapore airlines but Lufthansa and Air NZ both had snap on covers for the bassinets (similar to what the mountain buggy has on their carrycot). I think they had blankets too but we used sleeping bags as that's what they used at home. The mattress was thin but fine.
