for my baby I massaged oil into her head and brushed it off with a flannel - I did this whilst she was in the bath came off no troubles

My friend recently dealt to her 4yo. I think she oiled and combed it out, kind of scratched it out with the comb and her nails. He had such thick hair that she just kept putting it off as no-one could tell anyway.

My son only ever got cradle crap (cap) once. Massaged almond oil into his hair and scalp, left it in for most of the day then proceeded in gently combing his hair and scalp. Washed his hair with baby shampoo afterward (it stayed a little greasy). Every time I shampoo his hair I've made the habit of gently combing his hair and scalp. Seems to have worked.

My mum had a solution that came from my Grandma and works wonders.

Use Baking Soda. Put it on dry and then use a tiny amount of water to moisten it and then massage the scalp. Then just wash out with water or shampoo. It really works and no oily hair.

I was told to use any cooking oil like canola rubbing it in leave for 30 mins and rinse. Repeat it until it is all gone.
