My DD always seems to kick her blankets off at night time. We used to use a sleep sack but she gets frustrated with that as well and kicks and kicks at it.... I have been dressing her in a onsie singlet and then a thick cotton sleep suit with feet to try and keep her warm but just feel with winter fast approaching that shes going to freeze. I cover her back up in the night but every time I check her shes uncovered again....

Any ideas?

I think our DD's would be good friends

We dress her in a merino longsleeved onsie under flannelette pjs and woolly socks, but it's not enough on the really chilly nights. We've got away with a sleepsack the last few nights if I rock her to sleep (she won't fall asleep by herself in it) so we'll persist with that for a bit, but plan B is a "pepi snugglesuit" (google it). It's like a sleeping bag, except it's a jumpsuit, so they can move freely in it.

We faced this when my DS1 outgrew his sleep sack and instead we bought him some all in one sleep suits. thick fleecey ones. And in winter he'd wear pj's under the suit too! Got them from the Baby Factory. It made a huge difference to his sleep!

Yeah she wriggles right up to the top of the bed so the no where near the blankets lol. Might invest in some merino singlets and polyprops to go under her sleep suits. Thanks guys!

Just had a look at that "pepi snugglesuit" at the sleep store, looks very cool.
I tried polar flece jumpsuits with DS, didn't work for him, he's better in natural fibre but that can be soooo expensive.
We've got him in a merino kids bag at the moment, but he's starting to get too active for it. Found him (crying) with his leg stuck out the safty strap hole the other night.
I've got a wool cot quilt for him and we're going to try that soon (as soon as I can find/make a cover for it).
I think my backup plan will be the pepi snugglesuit.
