We spent ours in Thailand. Stayed on Koh Samui, absolutely LOVED it. We stayed in a resort and spent most days on beach, but is also good if you're looking for an adventure holiday too. We spent a day doing snorkeling, elephant ride and a visit to a shrine and waterfall....bit of everything!

If you're not counting Hawaii as one of the islands then its fantastic. We went there as part of our honeymoon and it was so lovely. I really want to go there again.

We went to Queenstown for a week. We couldn't really go overseas as we had another wedding the weekend after ours which DH was best man at. We ended up spending what we would have spent on flights living like kings lol.
BUT... I would have loved to go to Thailand also. Everyone I know who has been there has raved about it and about how everything is really cheap.

I came to NZ for my honeymoon! I was living in Ireland at the time though

Now, I'd go to South America, or India.

If you don't have a huge budget, Noosa in Australia is lovely. Hire a car and visit different beaches and go up to the hinterlands - so beautiful. Lots to explore and something for everyone. Great food too.

I also like the idea of travelling round the South Island.

I second Hawaii! We got married there and it has something for everyone. Beaches, shopping, sightseeing ...

We're planning to take our girls in a few years.

My cousins got married a couple of years ago and rather than wedding presents/gifts they asked that everyone put money into their honeymoon fund and they ended up going overseas for a couple of weeks. They went to Fiji for one week and then somewhere else but can't remember where!

i agree on Thailand! Went for just over two weeks, Bangkok (for the shopping and temples), Chiang Mai (elephants, tigers and other animals) and then down to the Ko Phi Phi Islands where there are no cars, no roads just a gorgeous beach and lots of restaurants! We chose Thailand on a whim and did everything and it was perfect for us. We can't wait to go back
