I imagine a lot of us are in a position where we can't donate easily to Christchurch given the strain on our own finances.
However, some people might have ingenious ideas on how they can help out, and I thought I would start a post to share these.
To start with, I am going to donate all money I make off Trade Me this week directly to the appeal. I don't sell a huge amount, but if I sold all my auctions this week I could donate about a hundred dollars.
What other things could we do?
(PM me if you're after very little boys clothes - most of mine are 0 - 3 months)

- TXT 'QUAKE' to 555 to donate $5 or TXT 'QUAKE' to 333 to donate $3 from any Vodafone mobile

Scamps Boutique are putting together care packages to send/take down - so if you can't donate money, they're looking for clothes (for all ages), bottled water, books & toys...
Check out addresses etc for drop off/postage HERE

I'm trying to get hold of an organisation in Dunedin who is arranging blankets/clothing/care parcels to get to chch... I have a lot of friends/family who have plenty of material stuff to give, although not a lot of money.
If anyone has any information on this please do let me know. I also have time/organisational skills/an extra pair of hands and a car to offer to the cause - would love to do anything I can from here.

have a look at th escamps website kiwigal
I just donated money instead, apparently they dont want loads of second hand stuff - which is a bit silly - but scamps are going ahead with their care packages - which is good - I think the 'Mums network' throughout the country will ensure they get to those who want and need the things that are going

Please go to this site and support the fundraising effort for Christchurch.
It doesn't cost a thing, just watch a 30sec ad and revenue is generated.
