Topic: small thank you gift?? Posted: 09 February 2011 at 12:21pm |
I have a couple of friends who have really helped me out recently and had my boys for and afternoon/morning in recent months. I know friends help each other out but I want to give them a small thank you gift. Normally I would probably do baking but they both bake plus I gave baking at xmas. Any other ideas? It needs to be small (read: budget friendly! )All I can think of is a pot plant

I was going to suggest a nice pot plant!! If they both like baking, then maybe a nice dish to put baking on or a nice baking tray (Warehouse often have their silicone ones on special)

1 thing I like to do is send kisses from the kids. Those boxes of Hershey's kisses.
Other things are scorched almonds, bottle of wine, magazine, hand cream, shower gel etc.

A neighbour of mine once gave me home baking but she had put it in a little basket covered with a nice tea towel. I was stoked!! It probably didn't cost that much but adding the extra thought into it made it just that little bit special

I really like the idea of a nice serving plate or something since they both bake.

Maybe you could get a nice serving plate or maybe an apron and get a notebook and hand write all your favourite baking recipes for something personal and thoughtful?

My friend gave a bunch of us some homemade bath salts which were LOVELY! (they were for the babies but I like to sneak them too lol) Maybe something like that so they can "relax" and enjoy.

I need to thank someone and I am sending them one of the more expensive magazines - something nice for them to relax with!
