Can anyone recommend a babysitter on the North Shore?

My little ones are 4 (almost) and 5 months. I'd like to do a once a month "date night" with DH and so would like someone to babysit them at our home - but am super nervous about who I leave my kids with!

is it possible to ask one their daycare teachers if they babysit in the evenings? Not sure if this is allowed or not, but at least you (and your kids) would know them.

Or are their any other parents you could do a babysitting swap with?

Have a look on Gumtree - lots of nannies and babysitters advertise there.

azza - there is also the nanny school in whangaparoa - they might have some almost qualified students who are responsible and come with references

Thanks - will definitely ask the daycare, at least then the kids will already be comfortable with them.

Your DC might also have students who are available to babysit evenings.

Hoping daycare has a couple of teachers who do it - want to go kayaking for 2 hours on the weekend
