    Posted: 10 January 2011 at 9:00am
Hi ladies, my DD is off to daycare in a couple of weeks. I'm supposed to tag all her belongings with her name but I'm not sure how/with what...

I'd love to get some advice on how you all did it.

Thanks in advance!

You can get iron on labels and use a vivid to write the name/details on.
You could sew the name on too

I started off using the labels that you iron on, but got sick of doing that...so in the end I used the laundry marker pen.

Thanks ladies, I'll try the IdentityDirect labels and see how I go. May be a silly question but can they be removed at a later date or do they stick for good?

I just use a laundry marker from the supermarket - she has a LOT of clothes etc to label!! I keep it in the draw of her dresser so that when she has new clothes I just label them as I put them away for the first time.

I use name it labels NameIt
They're probably much the same as the other company.
I find these guys fast and simple. I've got iron-on, sew-on, and stickers (for bottles etc).

I've found ball point pen to work just as well as anything more expensive. I just mark all the labels with G's initials in pen and the insides of her shoes. Socks is the one thing i have issues naming but she has only ever lost one.

Also, I've labelled everything just with our surname. I thought about using DD's initials but there is another kid with the same initials and I figure if I just use our surname then everything is appropriately labelled for #2 as well

Cheap and works just fine
