Hi there,

Been trying to search for car safety and rules information for NZ, and found the plunket site and one other, but really want details - anyone know of a good site.

Need to know roughly when a child age or size wise (in actual height not just when theyre big enough) can go into a booster

Also would like some kind of place which compares car seat size with the rest (need to find out how to fit possibly 3 seats into our car - safely)

Thanks in advance!

Hi Kim,
This is another excellent website
http://www.childrestraintsafety.com/

Also, our car seat expert Laura Hall is incredibly knowledgeable in all things 'car seat' related.
You can ask her a question here:

Cheers,
Kelly

For safety, the 5 step test is good to see if they're ready to be in a booster.

Step one
Does your child sit all the way back against the car seat?

Step two
Do your child’s knees bend comfortably at the edge of the seat?

Step three
Does the belt cross the shoulder between the neck and arm?

Step four
Is the lap belt as low as possible, touching the thighs?

Step five
Can your child stay seated like this for the whole trip?
