Hey, does anyone else have a sliding door as your front door? If so what do you do to stop little ones escaping? At the mo we have to keep the door locked as DD can open it and escape (she can't unlock it yet tho), but it's getting so hot in our lounge we need to do something as it's like living in a furnace!
My mum bought us a safety gate but it doesn't attach to sliding doors
We've tried to ring our landlords a few times about putting in a gate on the driveway, but they won't answer our calls about it, grr!!! So anyway, anyone know of any solutions for sliding doors?

Go to bunnings, buy some trellis, it should fit in the grove, then get a piece a wood to put at the other end of the door, just dont let your girl see you putting the end piece in if you think she will pull it out.

We got a safety gate (jail bars LOL) from Baby Factory for our door. We had to by a extension as well. It was a bit pricey but it is GREAT....I couldn't do without it

If it is a double door one then you can get a wooden safety gate. It doesnt open like a door or anything but we just climb over it and works well. Now we moved and use just a normal safety gate that can open up as we have a single door slider.

Hope you come right.

Maybe ask your landlord for a sliding screen door on top of the glass door? Then you can have the glass door open but have the screen door closed and locked so baby can't escape. You'll still get a nice breeze through the screen door and no bugs!
